Starting from the 6th month, breast milk or formula alone is no longer sufficient for babies, and the transition to solid foods begins. This exciting process can become stressful if not managed properly.
What is the 3-Day Rule?
When introducing a new food to your baby, you should give the same food for 3 consecutive days to observe possible allergic reactions. No other new food should be added during this time.
- First Vegetables: Carrots, zucchini, sweet potatoes.
- First Fruits: Apples, pears, bananas.
- Yogurt: Homemade, sugar-free, and naturally fermented yogurt is ideal.
Foods to Avoid
Babies under one year of age should absolutely not be given honey, cow's milk, salt, or sugar. Leaving some texture when pureeing foods will help develop their chewing skills in the future.
